FILMARTRÄFF 21 SEPT - THE STAGED DOCUMENTARY

NOTE: THE EVENT IS NOW FULLY BOOKED!

FilmCentrum Syd, Nordisk Panorama and OFF invites you to an afternoon where you will get closer to Marcus Lindeen, the director of the award-winning documentary THE RAFT (Flotten), during a talk moderated by Maja Kekonius.

With a background in both theatre and film, Lindeen elaborates on the artistic potential of the studio-based documentary, reenactments and social experiments through his most ambitious work to date. The Raft returns to a radical experiment conducted in 1973 by a Mexican anthropologist who drifted across the Atlantic on a raft with a group of men and women to study violence, aggression and sexual behavior. The film is nominated for Nordisk Panorama's award "Best Nordic Documentary 2018" and recently won the top prize at Copenhagen's CPH:DOX 2018.

The Raft is the second part of a planned trilogy with studio-based documentaries, where Lindeen's film Regretters (Ångrarna) from 2010 was the first one.
